Saturday....Sept 26......7am came quickly this morning. With a chill in the air, some clouds on the horizon and the sun just peaking out we hit the road. The interstate system never seems like a great place to ride, but as you put the miles behind you, its all the same. Turning North out of Conway we soon ran into some moring fog. Which just lent to the riding experience. Rolling in and out of all the curves as we traveled further and further into Ozarks, topping the mountains and looking at the fog in the valleys. The fog looked almost river like as it snaked around the low lying areas. Cool, crisp, dampness, then in just a matter of a turn and climb we were back into a sunlit morning. Rolling on through the morning. Passing through the sleepy little towns, Clinton, Leslie, Marshall, they all had their own names and personalities, yet all we knew was that they behind us and more roads were in front of us still.....Rolling through Harrison and on to Berryville where we were in search of a party that we had gotten an invitation to....Well you know what, even with directions in hand sometimes its funner to try and decipher it by just riding around and looking at the surroundings than to take the direct route..lol..ok so we didnt know where we were going, but..we were altogether and got where we were going. So with a quick meet and greet of some of the party goers that had invited us. We were soon ready to ride some more. So off we rode, leaving Berryville on our way to Fayetteville. Carving through the hills, we were riding as if connected by a cable...stretched out...leannnnningggggg....sweeeping left....then righttttt.....watching the clouds as they threatened us with rain, butttttt ya couldnt dampen our spirits and ya sure wasnt gonna dampen our clothes.....Soon Fayetteville ( Bikes Blues and BBQ) was in front of us. A slow ride down Dickson street through the middle of it all revealed why we didnt miss this event at all...Tooo Many People, tooo small an area.....So we opted for a quick bite and low and behold, my how fate shines on us, we were parked and eating as the parade of power rolled through. But again, tooo many people and toooo small a place lead to another problem....WRECKS...yeah we saw 4 as we were there just a short amount of time. Time for us to make our way back home and leave the congestion behind. Riding across the Boston Mountains via hwy 540 is always a scenic ride...anddddddddddddd we get to ride through the tunnel...wooohooooo..always a burst of speed and fun. Riding south on 540 then connecting with Interstae 40 headed East...the miles began to click away and Little Rock was getting closer. The sun was setting behind us. Seen only as a memory in our mirrors. Darkness soon covered us and our headlights led us into town...Another ride complete, another ride to file away in our memories........Another Memory Of Our Friends and Family Together.....Ride Safe Folks...We Will See You On The Streets
